First Novel Kuguhara is Medaka Kurokami's homeroom teacher. Since Medaka is the only student who attends class, Medaka and Kuguhara had lots of time to talk. He had some part in Medaka deciding to become the Student Council president. Naginoura is Myouri Unzen's homeroom teacher.

Second Novel Eburi was a counselor at the academy. Essentially, he becomes Class -13's homeroom teacher. Mukueda’s flawed ideals bring him into conflict with the Election Management Committee and Hansode Shiranui.
